     
At Cal Blast, we try
to provide more services than your typical media
blaster. We are car guys doing work for car guys.
We will do the job the right way, or we won't do the
job. We don't do "quickies". We do jobs the
way we would do our own projects. With this mindset, it's no
wonder that 80% of our jobs are for the industry
professional. We do work for paint shops, fabricators,
builders, as well as the DIY guy.
OUR BASIC BLAST
JOB Our basic blast
job includes the following. Blast all the top
surfaces of the car that will be finished in paint ;top
and bottom of the hood and trunk lid; all door jams;
doors; the shell of the car; fenders; all interior passenger
area that will not be covered in upholstery or carpet.
We prefer to blast cars with the doors, hood, trunk lid,
and fenders removed from the car. We can do a better,
more complete job if we receive the car this way. Will
we blast a car that is fully assembled? Of course we
will, but if you want "everything" blasted, the car needs to
be disassembled & stripped.
 
FULL ROTISSERIE BLAST
JOBS If you want (or need ) to
blast the underside of your vehicle, the only way to do it
properly is to remove the body
from the frame and mount the body to a rotisserie. This
will assure that all old paint, rust, grease and undercoating
is removed. While the frame is separated from the body,
why not blast it also! Sure you can spend several hours
wire brushing and degreasing a frame, but what
is your time worth ?
     
PRIMER AND POWDER COATING While we have your body on the
rotisserie, and it has been stripped to clean metal, why not
have us shoot the bottom into a PPG DP series epoxy
primer. After blasting your frame,
we can have it powder coated for you. Other parts
to powdercoat include motorcycle frames, suspension
pieces, radiator supports, inner fender wells, and much
more.
   

CRACK AND JAM JOBS Maybe you can't afford a complete blast job, or
maybe you have already stripped the car by hand, but you're
unable to get into those hard to reach spots. This is
what we call a crack and jam job. We will blast away all
those areas that are difficult if not impossible to strip by
hand or mechanical sander. These areas include window
channels, door jams, hood and trunk weather strip seals, drip
rails, leaf vents, etc. We are often asked if we will do
parts. Of course we do. You don't need to bring us
a whole car at one time, although pricing is less for a
complete package.

ROTISSERIES AND
BODYCARTS Our customers are often faced with the problem of how
do i get my car to you if its all disassembled ?
We offer our body carts and rotisseries
for our customers to borrow when they are
available to get the vehicle to our shop. But what
do you do when its home and your car isn't a roller ?
It's a problem we all go through. By the end of July, we
should have available to purchase, a complete line of body
carts and dollies . Pricing, applications, and
availability will be listed soon. Most of the other
companies are concerned with how to ship their product
on a 4x4 pallet. Our main concern is making our carts is
functionality and SAFETY. Just when we think we have
seen the worst cart or dollie out there, another one
comes through our door with someone's project on it. In
the last year alone, we have had to offload 4 cars with our
forklifts because someone's cheapo cart collapsed on the
flatbed to our shop.
